Dr. Zimmerman's passion for four-legged creatures began at an early age much to her parent's dismay. Even as a child when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up the response was always "a vet."

She finally achieved that goal in 2005 when she graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, she returned to Maryland and has worked in the Baltimore area ever since.

Although she enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine, her special interests include internal medicine and cardiology.

Her personal menagerie includes members of the equine, canine, feline, and reptilian families. She greatly enjoys interacting with pets and their humans and looks forward to providing families with quality, compassionate veterinary care.
